BURUNG HANTU 2012 JAMBOREE WARM CLOSURE

We members and organizing team of Environmental Cycling Club team would like to say a BIG Thank You to all "BURUNG HANTU" participants whom come from near and far just to take part in our fourth installation of MTB Nite Jamboree in Dataran Sejarah, Ayer Keroh, Melaka on the 20th & 21st October 2012.

Also we warm-heartedly like to say a big "THANK YOU" to all of our main sponsors, product sponsors, drink sponsors, venue sponsors, telco sponsors, media partners and our supporters of BURUNG HANTU 2012 as well as to all Marshals & helpers for their contributions in making "BURUNG HANTU" nite jamboree a successful event for everyone to remember.

Track and Profile

   The starting and ending (PLEASE NOTE THAT I PUT THE WORD ENDING INSTEAD OF FINISHING AND THIS BY ALL MEANS IT IS A JAMBOREE AND NOT A RACE AT ALL) point for upcoming "Burung Hantu" 2012 Jamboree will be at Dataran Sejarah, Ayer Keroh, Melaka
   
   Estimated distance 45 km with 3 Burung Hantu check points. We will as well have 3 water stations at different area for riders to have a refill of energy during the jamboree,

1) Distance Start to CP1 = 18km
2) Distance CP1 to CP2 = 12km
3) Distance CP2 to CP3 = 11km
4) Distance CP3 to Finish =4km
Water stations are located near to each CP

  
   As mention the Jamboree track will pass through the new Hang Tuah Jaya district. Do not worry of being in the dark as we will have LED lights every 50 metres alongside with your bright torchlight to guide you inside the offroad trail. So please obey our rules and follow the led lighting trail as well as do look for signs like paper trails during your ride. Do not run off course by taking any shortcuts or whatsoever. We will not be responsible for anything if you create your own route during the event. Also during the event itself, we will have ride marshall, off-road motorbike marshall, 4x4 to accompany participants.

Below is the itinerary for our "BURUNG HANTU" Nite Jamboree event on 20th and 21st October 2012

Registration starts. Goodies and T-shirts giveaways.


*** IMPORTANT NOTE for riders registered under CLUBS/GROUPS ***

Please make sure all your members who registered for the ride knows the group leader especially the one who will be collecting the t-shirts, goodies and plate numbers on behalf of the whole group. DO GET HIS/HER CONTACT NUMBER !!

Last year we had participants who didn't even know who is the club member who collected on behalf of the group, when I give them the member's name. Some can't even find their rep until the event is about to start, so they were without number plates.

REPRESENTATIVES - Please provide 2 contact numbers if possible cos in case yours is turned off (tada battery kah, jatuh dalam longkang kah, anak sudah pakai kah dan lain-lain). Cos there were members who could not contact their rep as well.

And ...... please assign ONE CLUB ONE REPRESENTATIVE PLEASE ......
because we will not split the items for partial collection since they will all be prepacked before event day.

Sorry for the long reminder cos I hope this year's event will have less hitches for all. Thank you very much for all your cooperation in making this a successful event!
